About the Village of Bellaire Volunteer Fire Department
The Village of Bellaire Volunteer Fire Department is proud to provide essential fire protection, emergency response, and public safety services for the Village of Bellaire, Ohio. Located at 2450 Belmont Street in Bellaire, the department serves residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the community with professional, rapid, and compassionate emergency care.

Our Mission & Service
The Department is dedicated to safeguarding life and property across Bellaire through firefighting, medical emergency support, fire prevention, and community safety education. Our volunteers respond swiftly to fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, and other urgent incidents — always ready to serve with determination and heart.
A Legacy of Community Commitment
Rooted in Bellaire’s strong tradition of volunteerism and civic pride, the volunteer fire department was established to provide locally-focused emergency services tailored to the needs of our community. Since its establishment, the Department has grown into a trusted public safety resource, deeply supported by residents and Village leadership alike.
Under the leadership of Fire Chief Tim Bell, who brings experienced guidance and a lifelong commitment to community service, the Department continues to evolve and strengthen its support for Bellaire. Chief Bell, appointed in 2021, leads a dedicated team of volunteers who balance their personal lives and careers with the demanding responsibilities of emergency service.
Training & Readiness
Volunteers in the Bellaire Fire Department undergo ongoing training and certification to maintain readiness and skill. In accordance with Ohio fire service standards, many volunteer firefighters complete a foundational 36-hour Ohio State Fire Marshal basic training course and pursue regular continuing education to enhance firefighting, rescue, and safety capabilities. This training ensures our team is well-prepared, knowledgeable, and capable of facing a wide range of emergency situations with professionalism.
Community First
More than emergency responders, our volunteers are neighbors, friends, and community members passionate about making Bellaire a safer place for all. They participate in local events, support fire prevention education efforts, and serve as role models for service and sacrifice. Their dedication reflects the true spirit of Bellaire — a community that cares.
